We had the privilege of collaborating with SH29 LTD and CHS Engineering on the design, ground improvements and construction of a Bulk Store shed project in Hinuera.

This steel was originally part of a shed built in the 1990s at the Port of Tauranga, which Pete & Cindy of SH29 LTD had stored on-site with the intention of reusing it in the future. By repurposing this material, we demonstrated how structural steel can be reused in future construction projects, helping to reduce waste, conserve energy, and lower carbon emissions.
This project showcases our teamwork, with SABRE Civil undertaking significant ground improvements, SABRE Commercial constructing the sheds, and SABRE Horticultural adding the artificial shelter belt for dust reduction.

In 2024, Steelworks and this project deservingly received the International Construct steel organistation Excellence in Sustainability Award in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
