SABRE were engaged on this project to contour and prepare two areas of land on an existing dairy farm in preparation for kiwifruit orchards. With some very large cuts up to 16 metres deep SABRE utilised large bulldozers, excavators and dump trucks to move over 500,000m3 of earth.

SCOPE OF WORKS:

  • Archaeology investigation
  • Erosion and sediment control ponds and bunds to ensure compliance with BOPRC
  • Stripping and re-instatement of 19.0 hectares of topsoil
  • Bulk Earthmoving of 19.0 hectares – Largest cut over 16.0m
  • 500,000 m3 cut to fill
